This is my niece, Beatrice, from our family gathering at Fort Boonesborough State Park yesterday. She wasn't listening to the guide. Nor was I.

Leonard

"Pardon my hands," he apologized, "I really do work on motorcycles."

I was at Gallery NuLu, enjoying the opening reception of a new exhibit--an impressive two-woman show from Ashley Cecil and Sarah Lyon. I noticed that the guy pictured here looked very much like a man depicted in one of Sarah's photographs. Of course, I had to ask.

Sure enough, they are one and the same.

Sarah's photo of Leonard is taken at Magnum Cycles in the south end of Louisville. "Out Dixie" was how Leonard put it. (That means out on Dixie Highway--a main thoroughfare of Louisville's south end.)

"Did you bring business cards for your shop?" I asked Leonard.

"No, this is Sarah's night," he responded.

A true gentleman.
