One of the biggest Halloween parties in Louisville takes place on Hillcrest Avenue in the Crescent Hill neighborhood. A big part of the fun every year is the tuba ensemble from University of Louisville. There's just nothing like hearing the "Chicken Dance" played by a bunch of tubas.
I'm in Reston, Virginia, spoiling my three nieces for a few days. This is Ella decorating eating Halloween cookies.

How can you resist a three-year-old who, when he sees you, opens his arms wide and screams "Mr. Daniel" at the top of his lungs?
I was teasing Michael David tonight by sticking my camera right in his face and snapping macro shots of his nostrils, eyebrows, and "teefs." Of course, he howled at every shot. Then he took the camera and snapped about twenty photos of everyone else standing nearby. He did a very good job for a giggling, jiggling three-year-old!
This is the only shot of him that included both nostrils.
Jinx is a scaredy cat. She runs from people. She runs from the camera. The shutter had barely closed before she was up and running.
